Source games regularly segfault on Steam Deck

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Most Source games (hl2, l4d2, tf2, etc) exit with signal “sigsegv” (segfault) after about an hour of use, usually in multiplayer games. This is using the Linux builds of these games on Steam Deck. I recently added a root password to the default user account so I suspect that had something to do with it. I factory reset the console in order to remove the root password to see if that fixed it (I think it did) so I can’t provide any error logs. Sorry!!! Games that have crashed on me: Portal 2 Team Fortress 2 Left 4 Dead 2 Counter Strike: Source

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Boot any source game in Game mode with no compatibility layer
Play for about an hour
Crash back to Game Mode menu
