Team Fortress 2 doesn't launch on Linux Mint #5725

After the new update to TF2, in which I include the bugfix update, which should have fixed some unicode problems, I am unable to play TF2. The game is started through Steam, the Valve intro passes, but then it's stuck in a perpetual loading screen, unable to display the main menu. I look at a Linux Mint forum thread, which I might post later, if I manage to find it again, discussing issues from the update. So far, I tried to use Proton experimental, which I use normally, and Proton 8.0-5. I tried to use both the current default launch option, which leads me to that loading screen and makes my system inoperable, and the Legacy OpenGL option, which at least allowed me to alt+tab out of the game to shut it down. As for those custom launch options, I have none. The game was able to run on my system before the update. OS: Linux Mint 21.3 x86_64 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon G GPU's: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile/AMD ATI 05:00.0 Rembrandt Memory: 16 GB
