TF2 suggestion: Use default medigun name for healer status #813

When you are being healed, there will be a HUD popup in the center of the screen informing you that you are being healed by a teammate and what medigun they have. This is helpful because you can know, for example, whether asking for an ubercharge will make you invulnerable or have some other effect. Problem is, this has been essentially broken ever since nametags were added. If their medigun has a custom name, it will display that instead of the type. It's not very useful to see that your medic is using "Malfunctioning Death Ray" (actual name I have encountered in the wild) or whatever.

+1 It would also be nice to have this ability for the Spy when disguising as a Medic because a lot of Highlander teams use this to call out the enemy's medigun choice and alter tactics accordingly.

That's a good idea. I don't disguise as Medics when I'm playing Spy, so I never even thought about that.
