Speaker Degradation on Preview #1151

Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When I updated to the newest version, my speakers were no longer as loud as they should be. Switch back to beta or stable, and the issue gets fixed. I also found a temporary fix by the restart caused by switching back to beta/stable, not updating, and then switching back to preview. This goes away once you switch audio output.

Hello, this problem is really anoying. The low audio quality (just move your ears close to the speaker) at lowest volume is disgusting. Playing at night is now not enjoyable anymore.

The workaround is not working anymore, because they updated the updatechannels and switching branches without updating changes nothing.

So an update: In attempt to find a workaround or cause for this, I looked into alsamixer. In there, it let me go past the supposed "max" but it didn't do much. I then switched the selected sound card to acp5x. I took a wild shot in a dark changing the item "Digital PCM" and it pretty much fixes it. It's only a temporary fix, but hey, it's something.

I did exactly what you have written - my "Digital PCM" was around 70 or 80... I lowered it to 40, and: OMG! My sound problems are FINALLY fixed. The sound is no longer disoriented or has a "bad quality". And the "fix" is so easy, that I can repeat it on every new FW update without much trouble. Thank you for posting this. You saved my deck!
