8 months ago It’s getting a bit annoying as I cant use any program that connects to my idevice like kde connect over usb or sideloader a program to install apps to the idevice. Both use libimobiledevice
In versions before 3.5. You were able to connect to your idevice and sync music and photos from and to the deck. Now you cannot do that and seems like usbmuxd is gone. Seems like my usb devices that aren't storage or peripherals or hubs don't get detected anymore. I do development on the deck for idevice stuff but updating to 3.5 breaks usb.
Libimobiledevice is used in kde plasma for KDE connect to transfer files which I used before but doesn't work now. I managed get some connectivity by giving permissions for deck user to /dev/bus/usb/ file but cannot really communicate via it much as it's limited some reason. I also added deck user to the tty group and the uucp group which helped with some but not all programs able to connect. This is a fresh install of 3.5 i did recently so the system shouldn't b messed up as I factory reset beforehand.
