Steam Deck OLED Crash with 3.5.7 #1271

My brand new Steam Deck OLED 512 with NO external software installed - i.e. ONLY Steam belonging games, no SSH enabled, no Desktop Mode or other - crashes within 3 minutes when launching intensive graphic games. With crash, i mean that system reboots and goes back to "verifying installation" state.

The following has shown this issue:

While the following one does not:

NO SD CARD is present or ever inserted. This occurs with and without power supply connected. Airflow seems normal. Steam deck has 2 days.

As workaround, setting the GPU frequency to a fixed value, there is no crash. This is also valid fo 1600Mhz.

Any other changes, such as TDP Limit, new FAN policy, does not solve the issue.

CPU temperature is around 66°C and GPU 68/69 when issue occurs.

When using fixed GPU frequency at 1600Mhz - with no crash - GPU arrives to 72°C without crash.

3.5.7 is the only software version i've ever tried.

Also setting maximum FPS to 60 keeps the Steam Deck stable

Looks to be the same issue as #1257 .
