@durtroSC Your report got me scared for a second, but when I tried Steam Controller worked fine for me on Steam Deck OLED on OS 20240626.100 How do you connect it? I'm using USB Dongle with Steam Deck Dock.
I do have a permanent problem with the audio, which is only fixable by running this in desktop mode:
sudo pacman -Syu jupiter-hw-support jupiter-legacy-support pipewire pipewire-zeroconf --overwrite "*"
Perhaps, you can try reinstalling the jupiter-hw-support
in this case.
How do you connect it? I'm using USB Dongle with Steam Deck Dock.
I'm using Bluetooth. Have the Dongle but it is on the pc . Tested with two different Steam Controllers and jumped between stable and beta 2 times. So going to beta is not the problem until one install the OS beta afterwards. Then the controller does nothing and even the controls from steam deck stop working.
One thing I noticed with the beta update is that wake on bluetooth worked with the steam controller and before it did not. The option wasn't even present.
As for audio didn't notice any problems. The only thing I was seeing more often was a black screen when going to desktop mode.
So, checked with the dongle on the dock and after doing the beta updates.
Bluetooth mode and steam controller input does not work. Changing to receiver mode makes the controller work again.
Subpar experience at the moment with the steam controller and steam deck.
Also have this problem: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/10949
Sol can't invoke steam deck QAM with steam + A as I could earlier.
Also had a problem in receiver mode and had to change the dongle from usb port but had a gaming session since then without a problem.
Well the Guide Button Cord Layout is now working but couldn't be solved in the steam deck alone since it does not show any button for the setting both in gaming and desktop mode! Had to connect the controller to manjaro pc to solve it... Doesn't make sense not having the option on steam deck.
It seems this is an issue with bluez https://github.com/bluez/bluez/issues/880
bluez 5.77 should fix it, either when it's updated in SteamOS or by upgrading it with pacman. I don't want to do a partial upgrade but if anyone else having the issue wants to try it should work.
update: installing bluez 5.77-1 from pacman does fix this. when that version is included in a steamOS beta update it should be fixed for anyone on the beta channel.

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Steam controller input not working. Steam deck controller input also stops working correctly when the steam controller is connected.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
P.S. It works fine with OS 20240422.1 BTW the experience when changing from beta to stable was generally bad with gaming mode not wanting to log in without first going through desktop mode.
So beta is unusable for me at the moment.
