Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Trying to install GTA IV and GTA IV EFLC on my zotac sn970 steam machine using proton was impossible due to securom error 8016. All errors regarding this referred to a skylake issue that should be fixed by installing the latest BIOS. Which I already did. So I checked one more thing: intel-microcode. I installed intel-microcode (from debian), and voila, the securom error vanished. Brewmaster does not have any microcode updating software.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Buy zotac sn970 or any skylake CPU based system without appropriate BIOS updates. Try to install securom "protected" software.

So please include intel-microcode and amd-microcode with steamos. If you can deliver NVidia drivers, then I'm sure, intel-microcode could not be a problem.
