Hello, which games that use EAC have you tried specifically?

I tested Rogue Company

TTimo commented 1 year ago

We're looking into it. Any other games (by a different publisher maybe?) that exhibit this problem?

Acejames87 commented 1 year ago

I will check through my library and let you know if there any others

Also see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6384

They seem to have some info on why it has stopped working

kamek-pf commented 1 year ago

Likely glibc related, possible duplicate of https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6051.

Acejames87 commented 1 year ago

Maybe, but is it going to be fixed? That other issue lists Elden Ring but Elden ring works for me on latest steamos

Interesting, looks like Elden Ring uses EOS EAC, which is apparently the version of EAC affected by the glibc update. Not sure why this one still works but many others are broken. In any case, I guess Valve could ship their own patched version of glibc, but ideally Epic should fix their implementation.
