[BUG] Index mic stops working unless i click on the speaker icon in the system tray in KDE (Arch Linux)

Describe the bug Index Mic will only work if i click on the volume button on the taskbar

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. launch steamvr with index
2. mic no workie after 5 seconds or so
3. click on the speaker icon in system tray
4. mic workie until you click off then it will stop workie after 5 seconds

Expected behavior mic to work all the time

• Distribution: main line Arch Linux

Additional context im running kde with pipewire and this is a pretty fresh arch install

in the video im screaming into the mic then it just stops capturing audio until i click on the icon again

i used discord to show the mic working and not working

the mic stops working for all software

i just messed with the sound settings and turning stuff off and on and now it just randomly works all the time

ill close this for now

fixed it maybe again ill close this and if it comes back ill just keep trying to fix it myself before opening again
