HTC Vive Pro - SteamVR: Missing hardware information while using HTC Vive Pro HMD. #126

When the user attempts to view all SteamVR devices in SteamVR settings, majority of devices information related to HTC Vive Pro HMD fail to display except the Bluetooth device information. The issue only occurs on the HTC Vive Pro (see attachment 1) but does not occur on HTC Vive (see attachement 2). In addition, investigating the System Report show that all of the devices are properly recognized and listed.

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch SteamVR.
  2. Navigate to Developer Settings, select USB tab to view all connected devices.
  3. Tick on the 'Show details' box at the bottom, then select 'Refresh' button. Observe that only Bluetooth information is shown while the rest of the devices information is missing.

Expected Result: All of the devices information is shown properly. Encountered Result: Majority of connected devices information is missing except for Bluetooth information.

Config Details: Observed on CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X, i5-7600K Observed on GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, Nvidia GTX 1080 Observed HMD: HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro
