Fallout 4 VR: When attempting to teleport to certain areas, the user is teleported outside the playable area and fall off the environment. #99

Affected locations: The issues occur in various places but the wo most notable locations are at the beginning of a new game: the house and Vault 111.

In some areas the user passes through the window or the wall and reaches outside of the play area when the user attempt to teleport to areas indicated in the attachments.The user might have to attempt teleporting to the affected areas repeatedly to reproduce the issue. The issue occurs in several different areas, and the behaviour may vary slightly based on the area in which it occurs: While the user is outside the play area, attempting to teleport might cause the character to fall off the environment before being teleported back into the play area; or the player may be able to teleport freely outside the play area without falling through the world.

Prerequisite:

  1. Ensure that the Direct Movement is set to OFF

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch Fallout 4 VR.
  2. Start a new game.
  3. Proceed to the affected areas.
  4. Teleport to the affected teleport point repeatedly. Observe that the user is now outside of the playable area.

Notes: -The issue only occurs using teleporting mode.

Expected Results: The user is blocked by solid areas and unable to go out of bound while attempting to teleport through the solid surfaces.

Actual Result: The user is able to teleport outside of the playable area and might fall off the environment when attempting to teleport elsewhere within the out-of-bound area.

Repro Rate: 10/10

Config Details: The issue occurs across all tested configs and HMDs. Tested CPUs: Intel i5-8600K; AMD Ryzen 5 1500X Tested GPUs: GTX 1080; GTX 1080 Ti Tested HMDs: HTC Vive; HTC Vive Pro
