m_rawinput 1 vs 0 vs Rinput v1.44 #1510

Can any dev explain what's going on with those ? many people say they feel kind of input lag on m_rawinput 1 so they use m_rawinput 0, but m_rawinput 0 has packet loss... I used RInput v1.44 (newest version) but it's not gonna be updated cuz it's dead due to faceit's anti-cheat (it doesn't allow include any ddls into the game).

Check if the box "increase pointer precision" (I don't remember how exactly this is called in Windows) is checked. This is basically reverse mouse acceleration. The issue here is Windows' mouse input API is extremely basic and limited, and while it's good for window browsing, many games implement raw input for a reason. If the raw input option creates input lag, then there's a bigger internal issue.

issue is with both linux and windows and no one who is normal use "increase pointer precision". I gave all the data and clips and u want to tell me all those issues are by this option that everyone disable ?....

my issue is m_rawinput 1 feels disconnected, m_rawinput 0 is droping samples and packets.

Oh okay, I'm sorry I didn't realise this was a cross-platform issue.

Like no one even care about this issue, i am downvoted all the time on reddit with spams like "use m_rawinput 1", "ur aim is bad" even if i gave all the data from true source.

I hope someone from valve's dev will look into it and FINALLY FIX IT.

This would need to undergo an investigation from someone with some equipment, because I can't feel a difference or input lag. It might be me using 60Hz monitor and just being used to it.
