Allow -legacyscaleformui option in linux client #1800

I understand the push to remove scaleform and transition to the new panorama ui, however with issue reports still open and unsolved (the most troubling in my case being #1701) directly related to panorama, would it be possible to re-enable the legacy option for linux clients for a little longer than windows?

I know its unlikely, but I don't feel the scaleform option would have been removed if the issues that are still present on linux were on windows.

1736 still isn't resolved either. One core constantly 100% CPU.

Nah, managing 2 UIs from a developer's standpoint is a huge inconvenience.

panorama_eco_mode greatly improved FPS with open scoreboard, but overall, it doesn't go over 200, it freezes when opening a menu, the scoreboard is a pain in the ass to use. I'm not a fan of outdated Flash-based UIs, but Scaleform was polished enough to be a lot more usable than Panorama on Linux.

My idle CPU usage doubled, I still cannot copy-paste (please, don't let it be another "Issue 11")...

Still uses 100% of a single core for me, and lots of micro stuttering. Please let me use scaleform until this is fixed

Same here. One cpu maxed.

Yeah, the game isn't very playable for me right now. Spraying is so laggy and I'm getting so many random stutters and freezes. Hopefully we are allowed to use -legacyscaleformui until the issues have been resolved. My game was very smooth on the old ui.

Really hope it's improved before the major!

well -legacyscaleformui doesn't change to old scoreboard.

Competitive matches are a no-no. Very frequent stutters, cannot spray (sub-30 FPS) or use copy/paste, open scoreboard, buy menu or esc menu = 20 FPS, dying = lag for a whole second. That wasn't a thing with Scaleform. I'm glad I didn't get a 144 Hz monitor. This has been happening ever since you released the Panorama UI on 11th July.

Despite #11, I used to love this game. Looks like it's time for Minecraft again.
