CSGO linux, watching demo, labels in command window are unreadable truncated #1880

You can't read most of the labels in the control overlay when watching a demo. (The overlay, which appears when pressing shift+f2 .) They are truncated with "..." .

On Arch Linux installing ttf-freefont changes the font in legacy UIs (20 years old and buggy as hell) to a much worse monospaced font. This maybe deserves its own issue, but I hope those dialogs will be soon™ (Valve Time? :/) gone.

Without the package installed, these two extra files were open after launching the game according to lsof:

~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/platform/vgui/fonts/tahoma.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/DejaVuSerif-Italic.ttf
