I thought I wasn't the only one having this issue, but apparently I am...
I've tried setting all my locales to en_US.UTF-8
(because I had some set to pt_BR.UTF-8
), but it didn't work as well. I'm out of ideas here...
Found a couple of more places where the text gets truncated. Round count and name of teams whilst watching a demo:
On Windows it looks normal:
If Valve ever fix this I'll eat a goddamn shoe
Oh so these random numbers I see are meant to be the time of the match. I always wondered what they meant, I thought it was something like 1st, 2nd, 3rd match of the day :). I also noticed that if you don't play for a while it shows a random number for the day too, I guess that's the first bit of the date. I also always had the round count missing the last digit and team names just showing the first character - I never thought of them being related to the recent matches screen.
I'm legitimately surprised this wasn't closed as a wontfix "because I don't feel like it"
Do Valve employees actively monitor this github anyways? Seems like there's a bunch of "dead" issues in this repo.
Nearly two years later, Valve even haven't notice this issue.
Yaay, 2 years! 🎉
@felipe19930 actualy, this didn't fatal bug. So, I suppouse, Valve would not fix this in current time?
Just because it's not fatal doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed
Just because it's not fatal doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed
I think Valve have better ideas for game.
it shouldn't be fixed
Yea, wait fix in 2030 year. Good luck.
Hopefully they will fix some of those long standing bugs because of the Steam Deck. I'll have my fingers crossed :)
This wasn't fixed in CS:GO, but CS2 finally fixed it:
And since CS:GO isn't really a thing anymore, I think I can close this.
