Hello @karthik-KSK, as a workaround, you should be able to add -fullscreen
to the game's launch options, launch the game and set the video settings how you want, then clear the launch options.
Yeah I got the solution Thanks for the info

-fullscreen
has stopped working for me with the latest update
This happens only on gnome 3.
the dock and the top panel disappear but csgo behaves as if they were still there, shifting the csgo window towards right and bottom by their widths.
WORKAROUND: To switch to CSGO, rather than using Alt-tab use the Gnome Shell Activities overview, enabled with the Super or Windows key.
Not sure how useful/ resourceful this is, but I used the Rotation Lock (2nd icon in image) to see the csgo window in portrait, made necessary changes to settings and rotated back to landscape
Same problem for me using Xfce 4.14 on Debian. The workaround (launch option "-fullscreen") works for me.
where do you set the -fullscreen option from?

Running with -fullscreen just crashes the game to desktop on startup.
Version: Ubuntu 19.10
Hello, is anyone seeing this issue with an up to date system?
Closing as fixed.
The issue is still present. OS: Ubuntu 19.10
-fullscreen
switch still necessary (Pop OS 20.04).
The issue is still present on Debian Testing. -fullscreen launch option has no effect.

@bakedpotato191 What window manager do you use? I don't have any issues now on KDE.
I played csgo weeks ago and it works well in fullscreen mode with -full
option.
But today -full
and -fullscreen
suddenly don't work. Maybe it's due to system upgrade? (Pop!_OS, 20,10)
Option -fullscreen
still works for me with Debian (testing) on XFCE. Without this option I get a window without the bottom bar.
Having the issue since some days.. Ubuntu 20.10... Worked flawlessly before. Using Gnome 3 / default Ubuntu Settings and amdgpu driver + kernel 5.10-rc6.
Hello @iChunyu, @Spacefish, sounds like you've encountered a GNOME-sided regression which is being tracked at #2551.
Hello @kisak-valve thanks for the link, just wanted to post one to #2551 as well.. Found it myself in the meantime.
I am also experiencing the same issue with Manjaro with KDE, and Pop!_OS 22.04
Currently the fix is to add this to the launch options -fullscreen
Your system information
I have installed steam and also installed counter strike global offensive game when I clicked on the play button, the game opens but the bottom bar is not showing on the screen even it is scrolled down
If I change any settings even though it is not showing "Apply changes" if I select a map or any other match it is not showing "GO"
if I check in activities I see them but not able to click on the windowed screen
Are there are any shortcuts to save settings and connect the game?
