Microphone doesn't work in-game/Steam

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I can't use my voice in-game as steam refuses to use my microphone (my microphone works everywhere else - discord etc.)

When I open Steam -> Settings -> Voice I can only see Voice Input Device as Default and if I start the test it won't pickup any sounds.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Install Ubuntu
2. Install Steam
3. Open Voice settings

I have the exact same issue.

Some more details:

• I've got two microphones - default and from headphones one
• I've tried different settings in PulseAudio - setting different levels, different default devices, as well as setting default devices in native ubuntu settings
• I've got this message when steam starts:

Nor when headphones are in, not when out the voice in steam (as well as in CS2) works.
