Hello @s6fty, can you check if dmesg or the system logs have any hints related to this issue?
https://gist.github.com/s6fty/9e66157705453e8bc27ff0cbb0c3e193
this is dump of dmesg and journalctl, only thing that hints to signal loss is
Sep 29 17:06:19 s6fty acpid[711]: client 870[0:0] has disconnected
Thanks, skimming over the journal, looks like Sep 28 18:33:45 s6fty kernel: NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:29:00): 8, pid=4621, name=cs2, Channel 0000002f
might be interesting. Apparently that means "GPU stopped processing" from https://docs.nvidia.com/deploy/pdf/XID_Errors.pdf.
It may be worthwhile to also mention this issue to your video driver vendor.
thank you very much @kisak-valve when i sent the the previous reply i started to think it was connected to my gpu too, i get vram exceeded warnings on cs2 console too.
Hey, any update on this? I have the same Issue, but I don't even need to be in a game. When starting the game it already does this, and whenever I alt+tab.
@Straylx i switched to xfce, its gone now. do you use cinnamon too? its not fixed, it still continues.
@s6fty I'm on Windows 11... But I recently turned off HDR and it kind of fixed the issue.

When i alt-tab it should show me the program that im alt-tabbing but instead my monitor signal cuts out and i need to restart my computer or switch to tty1 and restart lightdm which i can see CS2 is still on.
update: it only cuts signal when on matchmaking, on practice mode i needed to alt tab a few times and then it worked as intended but when i load into matchmaking (deathmatch/competitive) it crashes no matter what.
