Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When I change any video setting (fullscreen, refresh rate, quality presets, any individual quality setting) in CS2, the display the game is running turns off and any windows on my other display vanish. I can still hear ambient map sounds playing in the background but no gameplay audio (e.g. gunshots, round start). This persists until I restart Xorg. When launching CS2 again the new video settings have applied.

I've the same issue as well, every time when I launch the game, it will start as Windowed, I'll go to video settings, and I'll change it to Fullscreen and that's it. the display which was the game on will turn off as power saving mode and second monitor will be in black and the game sound playing in background.

The next step what should I do then it's: go to tty ctrl+alt+f3, kill steam, cs2 (and all related to steam programs) then go back Xorg ctrl+alt+f2, then to turn on display xrandr --output [display name] --auto --right-of [display name] --primary

It's every time when I want to play CS!

After this shit, I'll delete CS2 and forget about it several days. Some days later, I'll install it again hoping that devs issued updated with FIX, but no, it's the same shit. Just fix this type of issues instead of graphics and map changes.

Problems:

  1. This one [Display breaks]
  2. Not able to play with different keyboard layouts (I use fcitx) and even if I remap key bindings, sometimes when I launch the game it'll be reset to default.

OR Just let us play CSGO instead, at least until CS2 will be playable.
