Can't launch counter-strike 2

What did happen: Steam starts processing the shader cache The 'stop' button soon turns back into the play button

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Click the play button
2. Play button turns into 'stop' button
3. 'stop' button turns back into play button

I have also tried

1. verifiying integrity
2. Uninstall/reinstall
3. reboot
4. attempt to play under wayland and x11 (both give out the same result)

I also forgot to mention that I have this problem with a few other valve games (team fortress two and left 4 dead 2)

I've also started having these problems around 2 weeks ago

So I did a bit more testing and I finally fixed it by moving the install directory to /home instead of the location of my ssd and now it works. Problem probably could be caused by something like a messed up fstab file or something.
