Sudden stuttering and tearing in graphics while playing #3897

Your system information

LMDE 6 (faye) (64 Bit) Kernel-Version: 6.10.11+bpo-amd64 steam-runtime_0.20241024.105847 AMD AMD Radeon RX 6600 Mesa 24.2.4-1~bpo12+1

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

After the most recent update, my CS2 starts to experience severe lag after playing around three "Casual" matches. The graphics become glitchy and the game feels like it's running at 10 FPS, with every movement stuttering. The issue doesn’t resolve on its own, and I have to restart the game to get it back to normal. I've already verified the game files and tried all possible fixes.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Play 3 Games
  2. Be amazed by the graphics problem

hey @kisak-valve it seems to be linked to this issue: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/4436

a work around solution like mentioned in this thread seems to be the startoption: LD_PRELOAD="" %COMMAND%

(i will give it a try and report after that Edit: After 40min of playing no stuttering.. it seems to work!)

It maybe have something to do with the the time when Valve started to implement the "Record your game" thing on Steam

This seems to also fix stuttering for me. On top of that, without that command, quitting the game does take a long time. Using the command, quitting the game works flawless and instant.
