Is there an existing issue for this?

Are you using any gamescope patches or a forked version of gamescope?

Current Behavior

Hello, I'm using nobara linux with steamos. I can play cyberpunk on desktop mode but when i go to the gamescope mode with steam and i try to start the game, i can see the first five seconds of the game (Cyberpunk logo, indications ect...) and then it jute freeze. I'm starting in linux so i don't use a lot the console. I verified that the gpu is correctly used with nvdia-smi and it's good. I install cyberpunk via GOG. I tried with lutris and download gog and the game, start in desktop mode it's ok but in gamescope mode same issue. I tried to mod the game to skip the intro video, but i canno't find a way to make the mod work. I also tried with differents version of proton (latest and experimental). I also test with the game in fullscreen, windowed borderless, windowed.

For now the bug happen only with cyberpunk 2077 from GOG. I tried some other game and no issue even with some game from EpicGames store.

I don't have the game on steam so i can't try with steam only. (80€ for a game+dlc that i allready have it's hard)

Allways the same thing.

Thx for your time and help

I am unable to reproduce this on Arch Linux with upstream Gamescope, using the Steam version of Cyberpunk 2077 on an RTX 4090. Both Gamescope and Gamescope-session work fine for me. I don't own the gog version.

Nobara ships a patched version of Gamescope, based on Gamescope-plus (a fork), which I have not tested.
