Do you have any more details?
Yes, I have more details than previously stated. Some players who can't use special alias are modifying and replacing game files such as (client.dll) to achieve automatic functions. Server admins are allowing this to accommodate these steam players. This is a disadvantage to players who don't modify such files.
I will mention a few more issues. There is currently an "fps exploit". For example, when a player uses 250 fps they will spawn, move, and shoot faster. It is great to give players the ability to achieve higher frame rates, if the game speed is the same for all clients. Another issue entails players/admins who limit server/client-side rates allowing players with modern broadband connections to use and exploit cl_updaterate 30 and so forth.

There's no real problem here, Alfred. The mod we play has had these fps commands and auto bunnyhop scripts since the day I started playing it. Every single update you guys release slows down our game. This guy (nightmare) is the only one who really cares about this type of stuff. Change half life if you want but stop making all the mods for it update and ruin the game play we've been used to for over 10 years.
We're talking about a MOD here that EVERY single person uses scripts and binds. I play default settings on every single other game I play except for this one.
A long time ago Adrenaline Gamer was created for the elite half life players who wanted something faster than the original game. That's what we have now. The reason why I use the autobunny scripts is because I've been doing it for years and so have a lot of others. A LOT of others. Imagine coming into hl one day and realizing you can't jump, the mp5 sounds have been changed, all the folders have been moved around, etc... It's just annoying. You guys updated this game after 14 years so linux users can play and messed with things that didn't need touched in the first place.
weapon models, sounds, _special commands, changed around the folders, messed with the mouse settings, removed EAX support (WTF?)
When you have a game that hasn't changed much in 14 years it should stay that way.
If you want to limit something limit the fps to 125 (like on other games) so players don't mess with the game's engine by maniplating movement and mp5 fire. I use 125 fps like most other adrenaline gamer players. Not for the slight speed or fire increases. It's because I use a 144hz monitor and 100 fps makes my screen choppy.
If you want to update something REALLY worthwhile update VAC so people can't cheat in hl.
And if you want, read this: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues/1154#issuecomment-19294752
Details a small portion of the major portion of AG players who want you to bring this back. I respect any changes you want to make to HL, honestly. But if effects players in other games who don't even play HL, just rely on the build to be able to play it.
In all fairness, Valve has made some really good improvements and a great deal of respect goes to that! Even though Half-Life isn't the same as what it was back at WON, that's ok because Valve didn't let us down the first time and they won't do it this time. This is the game that started it all! I agree with blaze that updating VAC would be worthwhile. I've played on 60hz LCD and I currently play at 120hz, and setting the fps to 125+ makes the video quality noticeably smoother at both frequencies. Unfortunately, some players set their fps values at 250 or 1000 for the advantage of increased speed (which is exploiting). On top of that, many admins allow very low rates and exploit that, thus creating inconsistency.

Some players are able to use special loop to perform continuous functions while most players can't. This definitely needs to be fixed. This is not fair for the players who have this disabled when there are players who can still use it. Examples include but are not limited to automatic bunnyhop and duckslide.
