tfc game overlay to pick class, not clickable since update

since the latest update for team fortress classic, my game overlay where you pick class, i cant click using the mouse now, i have to use keyboard numbers to choose/deploy, i cant click spectate having to type it in console to spec, sometimes if its called up it wont go away unless i use tab/console keys a few times. the cursor for mouse is there and it highlights the boxes but wont click them.

Do you have any local patches to the resource files the game uses? Can you try validating your game via the Steam game properties page please.

Dont think i have any patches,no scripts just the game and updates its received over the years. Did the validation thing again, 4th time i did it, it said 2 files could not be verified and would be re-aquired, the mouse works a bit better not so much flashing/highlighting of the boxes, but still takes a few clicks to accept, about 20/secs of clicking.

this is a general problem all over the new hl update, ive seen it both on sven co-op and on opposing force, so it has to be an engine problem somewhere.

Can you tell me the value of "m_rawinput" you have set (use the console to look it up). Could you also post a screenshot of the problem, so I can be sure I am looking at the same place you are.
