Remove bullet hitting skybox behavior #2550

I guess this is a well known issue within most Goldsrc games. I dunno if this is determined by the engine or the map itself. I've seen many CZ:DS maps not showing bullet leftovers in the sky when shooting it. Sven Co-op also resolved this issue in all its maps. (as I remember..) I wonder if removing it is possible in the rest of Goldsrc title since it looks really dumb 54aac78f33094

I know it's a little off topic, sorry. It would be nice to add a cvar that disables this numerous black dots and sparks (can't even see where the bullets go). Although sparks can be made transparent existing cvar, but not black dots.

i think the black dots are the material that the skybox is using, it's my guess

I don't think so, those dots appear when you shoot on any surface: cs_assault0003

Cvar isn't necessary, just fix that incongruity.

Being unable to customize or alter those black dots (crosses, more accurately) has bugged me for ages.
