[Ricochet] Mouse wheel directions are bound to item change, which prevents attacking. #2768

Mouse wheel scroll directions are bound to invprev and invnext, which display an invisible item selection screen. The player is unable to attack until he presses the attack button once.

I thought that this behavior was normal in HL-based games (having to click once to select that item). In Day of Defeat I like the click to select behavior (but I don't use the scroll) but many people I know use "hud_fastswitch 1" to remove the "click to select" behavior. Does Ricochet have this option?

I just tested it and it doesn't fix the issue.

AFAIK hud_fastswitch only works when using the slot[n] commands to select weapons and doesn't affect the mouse scroll functionality.

I just tested in Day of Defeat that hud_fastswitch does affect how the scroll with invprev and invnext works. Granted, the "item selection" isn't invisible in Day of Defeat. Also, I just tried playing Ricochet and I apparently know enough because there doesn't seem to be any type of weapon selection (scroll wheel or otherwise). Maybe this feature isn't an inherited feature from Half-Life.
