Will official GoldSRC games get updated too? #3431

Hi. This has been mentioned before I'm pretty sure, but it's more of a question. So far, OpFor, BShift, CS etc. are missing the required files for the new (old) menu system to look correct. I have tried to make my own custom patch for this, but it seems any game/mod other than Half-Life ignores the startupvids.txt and logo.avi files if they're present in the mod's folder.

So are patches also planned for the rest at a later time?

From release notes:

The previous version of the game has been archived to a publicly visible Beta branch named "steam_legacy", with the description "Pre-25th Anniversary Build." If a mod or feature is behaving in an unexpected way, you may need to run this archived build until the issue is resolved in the default build.

"until the issue is resolved in the default build". So yes, goldsrc games will be updated, the main question is... In how much time?.

Is there any additional information besides that hint in the news posts that further support for goldsrc may be coming?

Really excited about the potential of this news, and would love to see some updates for Team Fortress Classic - specifically to address technical bugs/issues that TFC players have been working around for years using AMX mods like https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=2754375

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much for a version of TFC that keeps the gameplay we've loved for 20+ years but can also be launched and run without making a new player go dig up a Steam guide/forum post to discover they need to disable HD models or use some launch properties to be able to join a server :D And if we can get official fixes for things like grenades you were holding before you died blowing up in your face after you respawn, that would be icing on the cake!

You should make an specific issue with the issues themselves in that case.

Slight update: by poking around the files, I found that the logo.avi is actually NOT used, and instead, the animation is recreated with sprites found in the resource folder (logo.tga, logo_blip.tga etc). Does this mean having the WON animated logos for other games (mainly OpFor) is not a possibility or will support for the logo avi be enabled?

Wait for next 25 years because Valve has only
