[CS:CZ (BETA)] Missing SDL2.dll and client.dll #664

After playing CS:CZ, I opted into the SteamPipe beta. Error Received: "Windows could not locate SDL2.dll! Re-installing the program may fix this problem!" [Error is given twice]

Then I get a GoldSrc Fatal Error: "Failed to load library C:\program files\steampowered\steamapps\common\Half life\czero\cl_dlls\client.dll"

I had manually checked the directory and it exists, even after re-installing and verifying the game cache.

Do I have to purchase Half-Life as well?

Yes, it won't work correctly if you opt in the beta and you don't have HL1.
