Steam Beta switches the A and B on my Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller

As of today, whenever I press A or B, they are switched with each other on my Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller on Linux. Whenever I go into the settings to tell steam to use a Nintendo Controller Layout, nothing changes regardless of the setting state. To test if this was a beta problem, I switched back to stable Steam and my controller started to work normally again.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Opt-In to Steam Beta
2. Connected Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller via Bluetooth to Computer
3. Go to Settings --> Controller and click on Begin Test
4. Observe how A and B is switched
5. Test the Nintendo option, and observe how it does not work

Welp, I just connected my Wii U Pro controller after some time, and it seems like this bug has made it to mainline steam. Super disappointing that I am now unable to use a product I owned with games I own due to a software decision made somewhere by somebody in Valve.
