Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I have encountered a bug in the Steam client for Linux where the Big Picture Mode boot animation displays black borders instead of filling the entire screen at the monitor's resolution. This issue occurs consistently during the initialization of Big Picture Mode.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Open the Steam client on a Linux system. Switch to Big Picture Mode. Observe the boot animation.

Expected Result:

The boot animation should fill the entire screen at the monitor's resolution without any black borders.

Actual Result:

The boot animation shows black borders and does not fill the entire screen.

Additional Information:

In previous versions of the Steam client for Linux, this issue did not occur. I have created a folder on Google Drive with a video demonstrating the bug and a report generated by the Steam client. You can access the folder at the following link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1h4X651tuPNn4JHA2dw1gFklSOmRuiHox?usp=sharing

I confirm that this issue is present in Debian 12. Black borders are displayed on native and Flatpak versions of the Steam stable client.
