Starbound wont launch from steam but will from run-client.sh #11111

Clicking play causes steam to say the game is launching, no window appears and it stops. The logs in /storage just end abruptly without any error. The launch options are blank. Files are validated successfully. Starbound is up to date, Linux is up to date, recommended graphics card driver is being used. Launching from steam has worked a few times, but it was like a 1 in 20 chance. I don't want to use run-client.sh since then I would have to port forward for it and my ISP does not allow that. I am using the linux native version and not proton. Linux Mint 21.3 x86_64 Nvidia GTX 1070 ti AMD Ryzen 5 1600 32GB of ram

Hello @x216V0, this issue should be mentioned to the game's dev(s) if it hasn't been already.
