Improve timeline seeking when viewing background recordings.

Demonstrative video: https://youtu.be/RkncxOxrxdw Currently seeking the timeline with long recordings is very painful. If I miss some important event, I may wish to quickly be able to skip to the live portion of the recording. Currently I need to wait for the fast-forward button to slog me there.

It would also be nice if the touchscreen allowed for the use of expected timeline gestures. If I swipe on the timeline, I expect the the timeline to scroll (and also have friction if I let go mid-swipe. I would not want the scrolling to stop as soon as I let go). If I tap on the timeline, I expect the timeline hide timer to reset (currently if I try to tap the timeline to seek, the timeline disappears after 5 seconds)
