[GoldSrc/libcref] Delete and backspace doesn't work. #1548

Open txdv opened 11 years ago

txdv commented 11 years ago

It is impossible to delete text from textboxes within the embedded browser, delete and backspace do nothing.

I changed the motd.txt to www.google.com and tried searching for something and noticed that I can't delete characters.

Please include the system information requested at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux#reporting-issues.

Is this always reproducible or is there some specific scenario?

gdrewb-valve commented 11 years ago

If you press and release alt, control and shift before you want to backspace does that help?

txdv commented 11 years ago

I write "http://www.google.com/" into cstrike/motd.txt, I run the server with this motd value, I run cstrike (beta) and join the server and then the motd screen appears. Within this I can't use delete and backspace on textboxes to delete text.

@gdrewb-valve No it doesn't help.

I'm having this same issue only it's extended to ANY text box in Steam for Linux. If I want to type a game review - no backspace or delete. If I want to search for something in the Marketplace - no backspace or delete. If I want to type my Family Sharing pin - no backspace or delete. If I want to search for a game in the Store - no backspace or delete. You get the idea. I'm also unable to use a lot of the standard punctuation, such as the period or comma. This essentially makes Steam unusable beyond launching games.
