Steam eventually crashes while playing Half Life 2 Death Match #2173

Playing Half Life 2 Death Match, Steam crashes eventually, usually while speaking with the mic, thus requiring the restart of Steam in order to continue playing the game.

Likely related to #1853, there’s a voicechat issue in steam that’s happening for users. It crashes steam which causes this network issue back in the game. Not specific to HL2:DM.

Some users have reported that disabling or removing pulseaudio avoids the crash. I understand this isn't a solution, but it's an interesting thing to test to try and localize the problem. If disabling pulseaudio avoids the crash you should report your experience to the pulseaudio folks.
