Used to happen to me as well, but I've formatted since then. Sorry about not being able to submit more details than this!

@calexil Maybe create a custom bind, and overwrite the autobuy?

Solved in one of the steam updates, no explanation was given for why it was fixed. I suggest if you are having this problem that you update steam

and today i run into this issue... i suspect garbage in .steam, deleting that flushing steam then reinserting it.
