Borderless window incorrect y origin placement issue #2938

Open Freddi opened 10 years ago

Freddi commented 10 years ago

When I start Dota 2 within a borderless window, the game does not adhere to the proper y origin resulting in a gap above the game. I can not feed a negative y value to the game to make up for this. Every time I start the game I will have to manually move the window up by dragging it via the Alt key.

I am running Ubuntu 13.10 Desktop 64-bit. The issue occurs with both the free software and the proprietary graphics processing unit driver.

I am running it in a borderless window to easily allow me to switch to another workspace, to for example switch to another soundtrack, without the game minimising as it does in full screen mode.

Similar behaviour occurs for Team Fortress 2, however, it corrects itself to the proper position after the menu appears.

The controls however are still out of place. I have to click a few pixels above a button to press it.

After launching with bugged controls, seen with the overlay message appearing way too low: team-fortress-2-borderless-window-launch-issue-two png
