steam on linux requires exit after network disconnect #3167

While steam is running, I need to exit steam and reenter it.

I have to two machines on a switch, one running Linux and the other Windows. When the switch is unplugged and replugged both operating systems have their internet restored. On windows if I try entering a game like DOTA 2, it will open without issue. On the Linux machine, however, it says it is having trouble syncing my data. If I ignore it, I will also have missing pages in the game. If I exit steam completely and reenter, everything works as expected. I'm guessing there's some logic for reconnecting in the Windows version that reconnects after disruptions that is lacking or malfunctioning on the Linux version. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 with an nvidia 660. You guys are awesome.

Happened to me today. I had to close dota, restart steam and dota (that takes over 2minutes of time) when I was able to enter the game, someone had sold all my items!!!

Bump for priority, this bug really makes a lot of problems at least with dota. The thing is you can reconnect to dota game after network appear, but you will be disconnected every ~3 minutes because steam thinks you are not logged in and this is really wierd.

You must exit dota, exit steam and relaunch both for not getting the every 3min autologout thing
