Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I am using in-home streaming from my Linux PC to Steam Link. The PC has a 4K resolution, streaming is 1080p only (obviously).
It works, but the problem is when I force exit a game (via Steam Client's menu) or if the game crashes (e.g. with SIGSEGV), the desktop resolution reverts to 4K suddenly and after that I can only see a corner of the client in big picture mode.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Use a desktop with 4K res as a streaming source for Steam Link
Start a game, then press the Steam symbol and choose to quit the game
Boom, you'll see a portion of the desktop and a small portion of Steam Client running in big picture mode. If you walk to the PC, you'll see it's now in 4K resolution.
