After Last CSGO Update, Crash to Desktop at Random #5979

Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I am running Ubuntu 18.04 with Nvidia 390 drivers. I started noticing a sudden random crash-to-desktop tonight while playing with a friend in the new battle royale game mode, which never happened before the latest CSGO update. May or may not be related. When I reload CSGO, I have to start a new lobby and begin matchmaking again. The game runs fantastic, though, and as I said, I've never had a problem with crashes in CSGO on Linux until this very day. I've rebooted and it still happens. I've played other games all day long this weekend including Everspace, L4D2, and DOOM 2016 just to name a few and I haven't experienced a CTD with anything other than CSGO and only as of the last couple days. Any ideas? Anyone else? Thanks!

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Start CSGO
  2. Begin a Blackguard (or whatever it's called) game
  3. Enjoy a random instant CTD at some point

I read that launching with -nojoy may mitigate the issue. Tried it. Haven't crashed, yet. Might be a duplicate issue. Closing.
