Linux Steam Crashing my PC #8181

Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

The Linux version of Steam, crashes my computer back to the sign in menu fairly often, at random times, and it is also a problem when I am trying to play games, and this sort of problem happens. Will there be a video in the future to prevent and stop this problem from happening?

Hello @ToxicHolyGrenade, in general, no OpenGL application should be capable of killing the user's graphical session. This reads like a video driver or desktop environment issue.

I don't understand. How could it crash like that? Can you explain to me on how to prevent and stop this problem from happening in the future? Not just for me, but for others as well who happen to use the app.

I mean, its not just when I'm playing games, it also happens when I don't bother to. In other words, starting up Steam, and starting up no games. What's causing this?
