where is the music player? will i have to just use big picture mode forever or will it be added? #8881

i tried to play music on the steam deck in my steam deck and it said its currently unsupported

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. download soundtrack
  2. attempt to play soundtrack from steam deck
  3. get currently unsupported message

i dont have this problem with steam client though only with the steam deck os

(Desktop mode) Possibly related, the Steam client (beta+normal) will fail when trying to play files that have been scanned. The player will pop up, but no files can be played. Files will play correctly only if they are downloaded as a game soundtrack from the steam store. eg: portal soundtrack scanned from game files will not play, portal soundtrack downloaded from store plays normally.

Also, attempting to play some files will crash the steam client completely. Eg: "Tell me a story (vox)" - Rakuen
