Can't use mouse in any shooter games #21

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I'm running windows 7 x64
2. When I run 0.56 the games work perfectly
3. When I run 0.57 and 0.58 the mouse doesn't work. When I went into the
diagnostician information on one of the shooter games it shows the mouse
working as an analog device on the screen but the left click and right click
don't work to shoot anything.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The left mouse click should shoot the gun. When I left click nothing happens.
The whole time I am seeing the mouse cursor.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.57 and 0.58 produce this issue. I am using Windows 7 x64.

Please provide any additional information below.
I found that 0.56 works great.

I can confirm that I can neither assign mouse input or gun input to any in-game
controls, thus preventing use of my aim trak guns. Sounds like a regression.
Hope to see a fix in the next version since there's a good amount of time in
between releases.

About that exactly games and platform youre talking ? Naomi, Atomiswave or
Dreamcast ?

In arcade games there is no need to assign anything, emulator uses mouse for
lgun input. All you need to do (in some games) - go to game test mode and
calibrate light gun.

For arcade (Naomi) this is not an issue - system mouse in automatically used
for shooting games (like some other emus) and I can use my gun appropiately.

My issue is with Dreamcast. I cannot find a way to map anything to my mouse.
Once I can, I can use my light gun to play shooting games.

The config doesn't recognize mouse movements/clicks and assigning things in
Maple device manager doesn't seem to make a difference. It sounded like this
used to work in 0.56.

You're right, now it works! Awesome!

Any way to get rid of the small red triangle that appears when you activate the
mouse?

in next version DC light guns will be enabled from start
F11 will only on/off lightgun mark (red triangle), wich btw needed if you play
in fullscreen

Cool.

I play full screen and don't need the mark fyi, the mouse cursor is displayed.
Though I guess I would prefer mark over full cursor if that's possible.
