Managing infrastructure through the AWS console was once convenient, but it quickly becomes unmanageable. Infrastructure as Code emerged as a solution, yet it introduced challenges when coupled with application code. Platform teams often separated infra code into its own repositories, but this required workarounds like ignoring image versions or handling awkward environment variables. In this demo, I'll show this way of moving infra code back to app repos using GitHub Actions to simplify deployments. We'll explore a successful case of managing a website and an APl with an streamlined and flexible developer workflow. And it's open source. More on my blog
