Given that the app isn't really that large, it shouldn't be hard to convert to Swift and enjoy all of its performance gains. iOS 8-specific features should definitely be written in Swift from here on out. The full-scale conversion can begin after we launch Version 2.0, as we'll want to be able to submit 2.0 to the App Store around when school starts, which will be before Xcode 6 is out of beta.
