Battery lever (%) on Laptop (Asus TUF) not updating. (probably Kernel related) #33

Hello,

I just installed Vanilla OS (Build from December 17th) and the batter status does not update. I think the Problem is with Kernel. At least on OpenSUSE/Fedora it worked again with the next Kernel update. There was a workaround on Fedora that I know but they update the Kernels frequently so it got fixed fast.

Not sure how to handle it on Vanilla and how often you update the Kernel?

I can't say for sure it is the Kernel.

Okay, so I installed mainline Kernel Version 6.0 generic and battery Status is working again. So the problem is the Kernel. If I understood it correctly for the stable Release.Kernel 6 is planed anyway so this should not be an issue for the Stable Version.

It is an issue on stable, but should be fixed by resolving #21
