[Bug] Starting with .27.x to .28 my phone seems to be very sporadic showing away/home

The problem

Since I upgraded the past 1-2 weeks to the version .27.x or .28, my main device my Samsung S22 phone, is very sporadic showing away and home. Even though on my router network map, the devices show up. I have an Asus RT-AX88U Pro. I'm on the current Merlin version. 3004.388.5. My Samsung, I'm using the phones MAC ID, not using the random MAC ID. Was using this feature to determine when me and my wife are "Home" to enable certain automations. Might have to look for other presence detection if I can't get this working. It had been working for some time and just stopped working. Thanks for your efforts on this HACS!

Some additional observations. For connected devices, I took/have all the defaults. I noticed that when I'm connected to my network, the integration seems pretty chatty. Going from away to home and back and forth. Seemed like in less than 10 minute intervals. I changed my automations, that if my device is away for greater than 10 minutes to then set my Away toggle. This seems to be working based on the chatter the integration is observing.

Do you experience similar issues with any other network device?

Do you have this option turned on in the integration configs? If so, try with it turned off. It's located in Configuration - Connected devices

Do you use Smart Connect in your router settings? If so, does your phone just connects / reconnects or does it also switch between the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks? You can check in the attributes of the device_tracker entity in HA

I have this happen for mine and my wife's Samsung Galaxy s22 phones. I don't use any other devices for this, just our phones for home presence detection. I had the Force clients update checked. I unchecked it, but still do see the Home, then away going on and off, even though I'm still connected. My router is not using Smart Connect. I've got it working to some extent. I'm accounting for this to be chatty. So, I have a helper that toggles on, only if I'm away for more than 5 minutes. That seems to work,, as it's chatty home/away for about 5 minutes(which means I'm still home and connected). If I'm away for more than 5 minutes, then I'm really disconnected. I don't think it's working as intended, but it's somewhat workable, although not as accurate as I would hope it to be. My helper toggle home right away. It's just the away I have to work to how this is currently working. Any other suggestions is appreciated.
