Fixes #53 and #67. This used to be a feature, and is still listed in the mod description, but got broken somewhere along the line. Fixed by reusing the code from when it still worked.

I will close this PR, because the newest 1.19 version of this mod (1.6-24) seems to allow multiple books of the same mod and because this PR is very very old
