Same on Ubuntu with the .sh file. Do we need to pre download the forge installer? If so which version is preferred?

At least for Ubuntu it saved the jar file as 'forge-installer.jar'$' or something similar to that. I renamed that file to forge-installer.jar and then ran java -jar forge-installer.jar --installServer

It's doing the download right now, and I'm assuming everything else is set up. If not I'll update with what I did.

EDIT: Yeah it technically boots up and says it running. However, when trying to login it gives an incomplete set of tags. No idea what the issue is since they're both at Crucial 2 v1.1.3. I'll just wait for more support from the mod pack dev.

@justinleahy Can you send me a copy of the .sh script you have? I pushed out a hotfix a while ago that fixes the carriage return issue.

justinleahy commented 3 years ago

@Vazkii This is the server_setup.sh contained in my CurseForge v1.1.3 server files. server_setup.sh I retried with the latest version 1.1.4 and the same error occurs. I was going to upload the output of ls as well but the return carriage issue doesn't appear in text files, only in terminal. However, it looks identical to this 'forge-installer.jar'$'\r'

I'm having the same issue on Windows 7 as the OP.
