Among the things i found out while testing about is

trying to carry multiple placed books on a single block and placing it back renders only 1 book instead of the original amount
enchanted books face the same thing
attempting to even carry enchanted books crashes the multiplayer server

So this has been fixed in supplementaries version 0.17.2
